Fahim Mashroor, a visionary leader in ICT sector, changed the entire recruitment mechanism and in turn strengthened employment trend in Bangladesh with a small step back in 2000. A young mind that wanted to contribute to his own country took this initiative of setting up Bdjobs.com at his own living room with some like-minded friends.
In last 18 years, Bdjobs.com has achieved tremendous success in being the only trusted job marketplace for people of the country. Over 20,000 organizations from both private and public sector found ultimate human resource management and development solutions at Bdjobs.com. Fahim, a graduate from University of Dhaka in Economics and an MBA from IBA, dreamt this internet driven service for millions of people of the country at a time when internet was scarcely available.
Under his leadership, Bdjobs eLearning, the spin-off of Bdjobs.com, developed skills of over 35,000 professionals and entrepreneurs in the country. Bdjobs eLearning, the largest professional training house in the country, runs training programs in Marketing/ Sales, IT, Commercial, Finance & Accounting, Garments, Administration, Human Resource, Banking, Business, Commercial, NGO and Development, Freelancing, Law, Project Management and other career related soft skill areas.
Not only the Bdjobs.com, at later stage of his life, Fahim led many other internet ventures including ajkerdeal.com, the largest B2C online marketplace in the country and Beshto.com, the only local language social network of the country. He is also a part of management in few other technology ventures.
Fahim believes honesty and clarity in purpose help achieve any difficult target. "It is important to have confidence in the team members and empower them", Fahim says.
At mid 40s, Fahim Mashroor has set his new goals which are centred round creating lot of employment opportunities for youth in the country through skill enhancement and new technology adoption. He believes small entrepreneurs among the new generation are the major employment creators in the economy, for which entrepreneurship development and youth engagement are his major focus lately.
Current involvement in the community (i.e. social, public, private, and professional organization)
Fahim Mashroor has also been involved in a number of social development activities in voluntary capacity. He is one of the trustee and Governing Body Member of D.Net, a non-profit development organization working in the fields of ICT literacy and promotion of ICT for social development. He is currently serving as an Elected Director of BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services). He also served as BASIS President in 2013, and Senior Vice President in 2010-11.

He has achieved awards in recognition of his outstanding contributions and services in industry of Bangladesh. He won the Best Young Entrepreneur award by DCCI in 2008 , ICT personality of the year awarded by Ministry of ICT in 2014, e-business of the year awarded by The Daily Star and BASIS, and recently Best SME Entrepreneur in Service category awarded by SME Foundation in 2018.
