Md. Sharafat Hossain received his M.Sc. degree in Statistics from Rajshahi University in 1990. In 1996, Md. Sharafat Hossain started his career as Monitoring & Evaluation and Database Management Expert in different National and International Organizations. He started his career from 1 August 1996, with “RDRS Bangladesh”, as Program Manager (Micro Finance Monitoring); then “CARE Bangladesh”, as Monitoring & Evaluation Expert, followed by “Practical Action Bangladesh”, as Monitoring & Evaluation Expert, “Save the Children” as Deputy Manager (Monitoring & Evaluation), “Shushilan” as Monitoring & Documentation Specialist and presently in “IMC Worldwide”, UK based Organization as Data Manager/Analyst with World Bank and National Housing Authority, Ministry of Public Works, Dhaka. He has worked with Donor agencies (World Bank, USAID, DFID and others), Government and NGOs.
During 24 years of his career he received various types of Capacity Building Training on Micro Finance Operation and Management, Advance Excel (Macro & VBA), MS-Access, SPSS and GIS.
He has the skill and experience in the field of development sector specially in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL), Geographical Information System (GIS), MIS, Research, Database Management & Analysis, Report Writing, Documentation and Project Planning & Implementation. He has developed training modules and imparted training to different levels of staff. He also prepared the analytical reports (quarterly, monthly and annually). In addition, he has accumulated extensive computer skills in MySql, KOBO TOOLBOX, Web Development-HTML, PHP, CSS and WordPress. He has analytical and managerial skills. He can work independently and in group with team spirit.
