M A Rashid

Director, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Former principal (IRI)

Mr. Rashid worked as the Director, Ministry of Labour & Employment,Government Republic of Bangladesh. Previously he has worked as Deputy Director (Communication, Information & Audio-Visual) at South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). Mr. Rashid has five years of working experience in the Industrial Relations Institute (IRI) as a Principal under the department of labor, Ministry of Labor & Employment. He has worked as an Audio-Visual Officer for 17 years as well. He has also worked at Bangladesh Television as Programme Producer & Floor Manager of News department for five years. He has 35 years of Govt. Service experience.
Mr. Rashid has completed Master`s Degree from Dhaka University in 1979. He has been conducting programs and news broadcasting from Radio Bangladesh for the last 25 years and associated with The Adventist World Radio-Asia for last five years as an announcer and news broadcaster. He served as a Guest Speaker of Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), Dhaka, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Regional Public Administration Training Centre (RPATC), Dhaka, Sonali Bank Sttaf College, Agrani Bank Ltd, Janata Bank Ltd, NCC Bank Ltd Training Courses, Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB), National Institute of Mass Communication, and National Bank Training Institute.
As the principal of the Training Institute his expertise area of work is to lead and plan-programme of various training courses, workers education training courses along with labour laws, Industrial training, Family welfare training courses and reproductive health & Gender issues, HIV/AIDS, AV Aids and many more.
