Introduction

Negotiation is an integral part of an individual as well as organization irrespective of its legal form. Starting from the negotiation with mom-dad, negotiation skills is a must-know intelligence in dealing among different countries. Someone wins to the extent he negotiates. Mid and Senior Management team members need to deal with their counterpart to enter commercial transactions. If effective techniques are not applied in negotiation process, it is obvious to face financial and non-financial losses. Sometimes such loss carries long term effect leading to irreparable damages. Again, proven strategies are to be engaged to keep the window open to enter into deals with the other party in future. Hence, matured and tested acumen are essential for win-win negotiation. Interestingly, a smart negotiator doesn’t take the same approach to each situation. For this reason, overall situation is to be evaluated to find a sustainable solution.
On successful completion of the Workshop course, participants will develop expertise in the areas of Negotiation. This course will groom the participants to attend different stages of negotiation process with enormous confidence.

Mohammad Zahid Hossain, born on 1972 is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) since 2002. He is an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountant in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Full Member of CPA Australia. He is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Mr. Hossain carries with him an array of experience which ranges from as Corporate Executive to Trainer.
During his long professional life of more than 23 years, he worked under various capacities in different National and Multinational companies, Accounting Firm. He has been shouldering a lot of responsibilities in the areas of Direct & indirect taxes, Strategic planning, Financial and Management Accounting, Risk Management, Corporate Finance and Corporate & Legal Affairs. Currently, he is running his own consulting firm and extending support to various conglomerates in the field of Management Consultancy.
Prior then, he had been working in the capacity of CFO in Rahimafrooz, MGH Group, Zuellig Pharma, Abdul Monem Group etc. In addition to that he had been serving as a Board Member for Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) from April 2015 to August 2020.
Mr. Hossain is an acclaimed writer for various financial journals and national English Dailies. He attends TV programs as discussants on business and economy related topics.
He is an active member of standing and non-standing committees of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh.
He is a part-time Faculty of a couple of reputed private Universities. He is available for academic and career advice. Helping young graduates find their career path and make their mark, in the current world of diverse career and educational paths. He worked actively for NGOs and Donor Agencies in the fields of tailor-made training. He imparted training as outsourced trainer to various Organizations including Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), CBM etc. based on their need. He is an enlisted Trainer of Bdjobs.com and DCCI Business Institute. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce under Dhaka University. Earlier in his academic endeavors, he stood 13th in the commerce merit list of Higher Secondary School (HSC) examination.
